Planning and Organisation Branch is responsible for the development of strategic policy proposals and plans for the Defence Organisation, including the Green and White Papers on Defence. The Branch provides a central evaluative and analytical support to the MAC in response to central initiatives such as the Comprehensive Review of Expenditure and supports other major organisational reviews. The Branch is responsible for the production of the Annual Report, Strategy Statement, Customer Service Action Plan and the Official Irish Languages Scheme and has a management function in relation to Reserve Defence Force.
